While Ducati exhibited the first of its new superbike models at the INTERMOT International Motorcycle Fair in Cologne, Yamaha and fashion house Hermes jointly showed off the leather-clad V-Max concept bike. Skilled craftsmen from Hermes took the responsibility of combining mechanics and leather to produce an inimitable motorcycle. Yamaha’s idea was to reinforce the sculptural lines of this unique object and underline its emotional power. The non-mechanical parts of the luxurious motorcycle have been covered with Skipper buffalo leather, including the tank, seat, mudguards, headlight cover, exhaust silencers and grips.
The finishing touches on the £20,000 V-Max concept bike include brushed aluminum mirrors, meter case and exhaust. The one-off concept will never become part of any present or future range of bikes.
