Let me start by saying I don’t know Mel Gibson “personally”, and I am a fan of most of his films. Braveheart is one of my all time top ten films, and I loved the Mad Max films, even “Beyond Thunderdome.” I am such a fan of Mr. Gibson’s films that I pretty much ignored the drunken anti-semitic tirade. The allegations of Homophobia didn’t bother me much either. He’s also been accused of calling Latino’s “Wetbacks” and African Americans “Niggers”. Those allegations have gotten my full attention and I have to question my fandom of the Man.
Mel was allegedly arguing with his women. I wont get into specifics of names and what was said because you can read about that and watch it on the idiot box at your leisure. I am a Man and I have said some pretty harsh things while arguing with women. There’s something about women that can bring out the worst in men. The ladies know how to push those buttons that turn us back into neanderthals. Is Mel Gibson a racist though?
He seems to have a drinking problem, which does not excuse his actions. I cant help but think that this may just be how the guy thinks. Is Mel walking around the mansion saying Fuck that Nigger, Fuck the Jews, and Fuck those Wetbacks, and while your at it Fuck all those Faggots too. I know that my view of Mr. Gibson will forever be tarnished because of these allegations. I don’t want Him to apologize if that’s how he really feels. I want Him to let us know that he is indeed a racist and homophobic and we can all move on. It’s time for Honesty in the world and then we can work on our Humanity. If and when Mr. Gibson apologizes for this last mishap, don’t blame it on some drinking problem, Please.

If Mel Gibson admits of being racist, it may lead to alot of people feeling that its okay to be racist.
We need open and honest dialogue in this world. I believe that the truth will be the answer for racism as well as other world issues.
Thank you. It’s very conveient to be able to blame having a ‘drinking problem’ on ones behavior. The fact is it’s bull shit! I know plenty of people that drink,get drunk, and act a fool at times when drunk. However none of them never talked or acted like a hate filled racist!!!!! Have another drink, do some more cocaine. Mel G. you’re pathetic and you need help not just for your substance abuse problem but also help with your hate filled racist filled heart.
